Here is what is included in our toolkit:
A Deck of activity cards with activities for you and your child to dive into core academic and social-emotional standards, maximizing 20-minutes of your attention.
Habit Cards: Transform daily routines into powerful academic milestones with learning habits designed for busy families. With the 4 Habits, StoryTime, Modeling, CarTalk and Listen & Write, these cards can target the Common Core math and language arts standards in your students grade level.
Project Habit Cards: Hands-On Mastery Through Real-World Application Elevate standard practice into deep, memorable learning with multi-day, immersive projects that bring academic concepts to life. From publishing multi-page reference books and mapping architectural floor plans to writing persuasive letters and analyzing financial budgets, students apply grade-level math and language arts standards to real-world scenarios. Each project guides parents step-by-step through research, drafting, and publishing—fostering critical thinking, creativity, and executive functioning through meaningful, high-impact activities kids love.
We designed this notebook with flexibility in mind. Whether you are homeschooling, on independent study, or seeking quick, meaningful ways to engage with your student’s learning at home, this tool helps you stay aligned with grade-level standards in a way that feels natural and fun.
Make It Your Own This notebook is intentionally blank. You will find graph paper for math and lined pages for writing and drawing. Use the Parent Potential project and habit cards to bring these pages to life. Some pages may become scribbled scratch paper for your notes, while others will hold deep reflections and learning moments you will savor forever.
Responsibility Data Tracker Inserts
You will find insert pages for you and your child to track your progress on Habits, Projects and other Family Responsibilities throughout the year.
A Sticker Puzzle Celebration Insert
We recommend adding a sticker each time your student completes a project or practices a specific habit three times. Once you complete the entire puzzle, send a photo to parentspotential@gmail.com for a special surprise!
